  • Before joining Catalyst - most recently Houston managed all aspects of the successful implementation of a Lean Sigma program at SR Technics Component Services Division across three international sites. A major part of which was to ensure that all control and governance was in place, and that CI projects were aligned to the delivery of the Business plan and Strategy. As part of the implementation, Houston devised 5S and Kaizen training and delivered 12 events in Transactional/Office and Workshop areas.

  • At FLS, Houston led a project to integrate SR Technics Component maintenance workshops across three countries. At FLS Aerospace Houston was Head of Component Maintenance with full P/L responsibility for a $60m turnover business, 16 workshops across three international sites with 330 employees.

  • At GE Aircraft Engines, after Graduating as BB, Houston was Business Leader for the $50m accessory business setting up a new factory using Lean Six Sigma methods (Kaizen, one piece flow, TPM etc). As a BB Houston conducted major Six Sigma and Action Workout events, and trained and mentored GBs from all areas of the process (Transactional and Workshop).

  • As a Process Manager, Houston worked in a team with KPMG re-engineering the Engine Order to Remittance process where Engine Overhaul TAT was reduced by 50%. After which Houston led a re-engineering project to double the output and half the TAT of the Engine combustor workshop.
