As a past member of the British Quality Foundation’s Sponsor Members’ Steering Committee, Rita was instrumental in developing the communications strategy to raise the profile of excellence across UK organisations.
Rita’s extensive experience in the field of process management utilising Lean Six Sigma has seen her, for instance, lead the re-design of a core pre-sales process at HP, achieving increased customer satisfaction and reduced operating costs. For Egg France, capitalising on her indepth French language and cultural knowledge to win the buy-in from the newly acquired French workforce, Rita led the design and testing of transactional processes to administrate a new product (credit card) within the challenging launch timetable.
Rita is an EFQM Business Excellence expert, having assessed six UK and European Excellence Award companies including BAE Systems (winner) and BMW and eitb (Finalists). She regularly assists organisations to prepare for recognition to the EFQM Levels of Excellence.
As Business Excellence Director for Rolls-Royce, Rita designed a self-assessment tool based on the EFQM Model to develop the business improvement strategy for business units through facilitated leadership team workshops. The demand became so great that she then trained and coached a group of senior managers to facilitate self-assessment, thereby enhancing their leadership and business capabilities.
