The Problem:

“We needed to train a number of business leaders around the globe. We needed something really flexible and scalable and engaging.” VP, Global Financial Services Company

Lean Six Sigma Online TrainingAn international Financial Services company needed to build capability in problem solving, process management and leadership. The firm selected Catalyst Consulting to deploy our Lean Six Sigma programme.

Our challenge was to deliver and ensure that our training would meet the high expectations of the delegates who were globally dispersed and working in business critical roles.

The Solution:

Our unique approach to online Lean Six Sigma training utilises a bespoke blended learning package that can be rapidly configured to combat the cost, time and geographic limitations of a traditional classroom training model.

Martin Brenig-Jones photo“The Business Improvement Zone uses live classroom delivery of our entire Lean Six Sigma training programme which we have captured on high quality video to build a library of over 1000 bite-sized training modules. These can then be configured to suit each customer’s specific needs and recreate the classroom experience on line. In this case, Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt programmes were configured and implemented on our state-of-the-art Learning Management System” – Martin  Brenig-Jones, Managing Director, Catalyst Consulting

The video material is supported by a rich set of learning resources, practical exercises and quizzes. For some organisations and delegates, this standalone online package provides all they need to train, pass the exam, complete projects and become a certified practitioner.

“Death by Powerpoint is no way to inspire people to learn; no matter how interactive the slides are, it’s still Powerpoint. The bite-sized videos are absolutely key to the value proposition for us.” Online training delegate, Global Financial Services Company

moore allison 2Catalyst worked with this Financial Services client to develop a structured, blended programme of learning where the course was divided into short phases. To maintain the momentum of self-paced learning, a series of webinars and networked learning sessions were designed and delivered by Catalyst Consulting between the phases. They provided direct access to instructors and mentors to reinforce the learning and enable best practice sharing through peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. The virtual P2P communities proved to be fertile ground for ongoing coaching, learning and development and collaboration across the business.

“It’s not about taking the learning out of the classroom, it’s about bringing the classroom to the learner, giving them the resources and connectivity they need to drive the change philosophy throughout the organisation.” Online training delegate, Global Financial Services Company

“Some of the biggest benefits that have come from this new training model is enabling people to work together, breaking down barriers for collaboration and knowledge sharing.” VP, Global Financial Services Company
