Course Overview

Lean Foundations (1 day): The one-day Lean Foundations programme sets the scene by establishing the core principles, concepts and benefits of Lean thinking, alongside the critical role people play in successful improvement. From the outset, the focus is on practical application.

Lean Practitioner (2 days): The two-day Lean Practitioner upgrade builds practical application skills, defining value, analysing work, improving flow and reducing waste. Participants apply DMAIC/PDCA methods to deliver sustainable improvements and strengthen teamwork.

Strategic and Operational Improvement In depth (3 days): Centred on Value Stream Mapping as a strategic tool for engaging leadership in end-to-end transformation, the programme moves from mapping current reality and designing a better future state through to implementation and change management, while building the systemic thinking, leadership behaviours and Lean Management routines needed to sustain a genuine CI culture long-term.

Lean Process Design (2 days): A focused module that builds practical capability in designing and optimising high-performing Lean processes. Participants learn to reduce changeover times using SMED, improve equipment effectiveness through OEE and TPM, and optimise production flow with Heijunka, takt time, and line balancing. The course also covers pull systems and Kanban, Lean cell design, and the integration of multiple Lean tools to create flexible, efficient, and continuously improving operations.
