ICAgile Agile Fundamentals (ICP)

Build Strong Agile Foundations.

ICAgile Agile Fundamentals (ICP) is an internationally recognised credential that provides a practical grounding in Agile mindset, values, principles and core ways of working. Rather than focusing on a single framework or methodology, the programme develops a broad understanding of what it means to be agile while doing agile. Delegates learn how Agile principles support adaptability, collaboration, customer value and continuous improvement across teams and wider organisational environments. The course is an ideal starting point for newly formed Agile teams, individuals transitioning into Agile ways of working, and organisations seeking greater responsiveness and alignment.

Introduction

ICAgile Agile Fundamentals is designed for people who want practical, immediately applicable Agile skills they can use in their day-to-day work.

From the moment delegates arrive, they operate as a self-organising Agile team. Participants establish working agreements, visualise work through Kanban, and experience Agile principles through immersive exercises, collaborative learning and accelerated simulation activities.

Throughout the programme, delegates practice adaptive planning, relative estimation, iterative delivery, feedback loops and progress tracking using Agile techniques in realistic scenarios. The course emphasises mindset and behavioural change as much as process, helping teams build the habits and collaboration patterns that underpin successful Agile adoption.

Participants will be able to:

  • Explain the origins of Agile, including the Agile Manifesto and Agile Principles
  • Apply the Agile mindset within their own organisational context
  • Build shared understanding and improve collaboration across teams
  • Use Agile techniques to manage work, priorities and work-in-progress effectively
  • Deliver value incrementally through iterative and adaptive approaches
  • Engage customers and users throughout delivery and respond to feedback quickly
  • Practice adaptive planning, relative estimation and transparent progress tracking
  • Respond constructively to change by adapting both process and product
  • Understand how Agile ways of working contribute to broader organisational agility

Why Practitioners Choose This Programme

This programme is popular because it combines an industry-recognised ICAgile credential with practical, hands-on learning that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

Unlike theory-heavy certification courses, delegates experience Agile by working within Agile structures throughout the programme itself. Interactive exercises, collaborative simulations and facilitated reflection help participants understand not only what Agile practices are, but why they matter.

The programme is delivered by an ICAgile Authorised Instructor who continuously assesses participation and understanding during the course. Upon successful completion, delegates are awarded the ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) certification, providing both professional credibility and a strong foundation for future Agile learning paths.

For organisations, the programme helps establish a shared language, common mindset and consistent ways of working across teams – creating stronger foundations for collaboration, adaptability and Continuous Improvement.
