Alistair is an experienced business transformation consultant and facilitator, working with senior leaders and their people to develop and implement change initiatives that are sustainable and that make a difference.  He is a skilled and versatile trainer, delivering training in a way that is engaging and relevant, connecting to the audience to effectively motivate and raise capability.  Alistair’s greatest “buzz” from training and coaching is to see the change in peoples’ outlook and confidence as their new knowledge and skills develop, and has known many people gain promotion or move to completely new roles as a result of their new found skills.

Alistair’s introduction to business improvement was in training as a Six Sigma Black Belt and following that became involved in many improvement initiatives including being part of the core team responsible for engaging over 3000 people in an enterprise-wide continuous improvement programme, working with senior leaders and their teams to give people the skills and desire to make things better for their customers, the business and their colleagues every day.

He has made extensive use of process mapping and problem-solving techniques to remove waste and improve core services. He has also acted as a lead assessor for a company-wide Project and Programme Management and Business Improvement Assessment Centre programme and regularly carries out lean six sigma certifications on behalf of BQF.

Alistair is a BQF-certified Lean Master Practitioner, 6-Sigma Master Black Belt and Change Management Master

  • Process management consultancy to a business improvement initiative, including capturing and analysing as-is processes, identification and prioritisation of short- and longer-term improvement opportunities and facilitating design of to-be processes (energy sector)
  • Design and delivery of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (recruitment sector) and Lean Advanced Practitioner (telecoms sector) training courses
  • Design and development of Continuous Improvement training course for CI leads and managers
  • Design and delivery of Improvement Specialist (Apprenticeship Level 5) training (health sector)
