This app provides a map for your process improvement journey, as well as some helpful tips and reminders. The route follows Catalyst’s proven eight-step process improvement method.: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control (DMAIC) method, commonly used in many Lean Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

As with any journey, you won’t always need the map, but it’s a comfort to know you’ve got one, and you can follow the step by step process that enables you to make improvements in a systematic way.

 

At each step you’ll find a number of questions to consider and answer. These will help keep you on track. In answering the main questions, (in bold), consider the supporting questions and prompts. You can share your responses with other improvement team members, update and consolidate your thoughts and analysis.

You’ll see that the journey is broken from time to time to take stock of progress. These reviews are an essential element in ensuring success.
